#EF 8: So Young

Dear 7 years old me,

God, I can’t believe you’re still that young. Do you wanna hear an interesting story about yourself? Okay, here it is.

Your favorite cartoon are Dora The Explorer and Winnie the Pooh. You also have a bunch collection of kid’s meal toys, books about dinosaurs with tons pictures of it, a box full of Disney books and your favorite were always Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. You had a hair that looked similar like Dora’s because it was the only hair style you knew.

You didn’t want to go to school at the end semester of your second grade. Why? Because you were bored and uncomfortable. You couldn’t stand the atmosphere on your class with 48 students included you, which are enough to make a rescue team. It’s a public school, 15 minutes walking from your house. It was quite fun, to be honest. You met some new friends–that unexpectedly be my high school (both junior and senior) friends now.

After two weeks full of skipping school, you decided to moved to a new private school with less students in one class. You also met your kindergarten friends there. It was your first time to playing Angklung, traditional musical instrument from West Java. Your first time to studying with only 5 students in one class. Your first time to be the first generation, which means you are the oldest, you didn’t have seniors. It was amazing, you experienced your ‘first’ a lot after you moved to this new school.

You never regret it, right?

The secret is, you are myself 10 years ago. Ten years passed and I still remember some changes I had back when I was 7. I write you this, a little piece of our memories. You know? I never ever wanted to change you even if I have a chance. Be grateful for that, dear 7 years old me. Hehehe.

You, 10 years later. 🙂

p.s: Pardon my grammar error.

EF #6: Alter Ego

#nowplaying With Me – Sum 41.

Based on sources I’ve read, an AB’s has multiple personality. Is it the same as alter ego? I thought it’s the same because my blood type is AB and somehow the fact suits me well. Well, let’s talk about math.

The percentage of my real personality and my alter ego is:

50% – 50%

50% of my real personality consist: A highly icy girl.

50% of my alter ego consist: A shameless girl.

Actually it depends on where I stand, with whom I talk and my mood swings. My alter ego itself has took almost all control of my mind on my freshman year, which is almost 3 years ago because I need it in order to adaptation on a higher level. Today I never really take a look at it because I feel that’s the way I supposed to act and it feels right as long as it doesn’t harm people in every possible way.

Just like when I accidentally met Kak Dani, one of BEC admins (post about it soon). I shy at first before I decided to walked into his table and that’s when my alter ego takes place.

An alter ego isn’t always a negative side of people, in fact my alter ego leads me to a more friendly and ‘humanely’ kind of person. It changed the way people see me, indeed.

See you on the next English Friday!

EF #4: Grab A Tool From Doraemon’s Magic Pocket

#nowplaying Don’t Go Away – Oasis.

It is suck to know that I didn’t join the 3rd challenge because last week is such the most tiresome week I’ve ever had so far.

So why does your EF #3 post appeared?

It’s Thursday when I was editing my post on my free time, one of my classmates was deliberately push the ‘update’ button and I never knew it was published because I never check the status, is it published or saved in draft. I was recognized it 3 days later when I already have my rest after I always came home at night on weekdays–didn’t have any energy to check my phone, and I spent my weekend on a place where the phone’s signal doesn’t exist.

What-a-shame. I would never let him be around me while I’m editing my post. Never again. Okay now back to the main topic.

If I have this one chance to pick something from Doraemon’s magic pocket, I will definitely choose a:

Food Downloader Machine

Yes! A Food Downloader Machine! Why? Because I love foods!

I thought of the Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’ food maker machine, and I decided to make another one with a little different ways to produce foods. The procedure for the one I created (which is not really my idea because it’s already exist on a film, absolutely) is quite simple, I just need to download the food’s picture, upload it to the Food Downloader, adding all of the names of the ingredients and it will took 10-40 minutes before it’s completed, just like when I waited for my dishes to came out at the restaurant. It’s portable, I don’t need to starve myself just to have my savings increased. And those people with anorexia didn’t have to starve themselves either because they could carry it anywhere and download some foods clandestinely. They will ended up screaming at the boring and flavorless salad “Piss off dude, I finally have my free time for live the life!”

Who doesn’t love food, anyway?

p.s: No offense for the anorexia part.

EF #2: Wildest Dream

#nowplaying No Boundaries – Kris Allen.

You know what you want, but how long can you wait?

I think the song above is a great song to bear out today’s BEC topic. Near the end part of the song, there’s a line that perfectly fits the ‘Wildest Dream’ which was the reason why I love this old song so much. Here it is!

You can go higher, you can go deeper

There are no boundaries, above and beneath you

Break every rules ’cause there’s nothing between you and your dreams

Talking about old song, actually there’s never a too old song. Because a well-listening songs are lasted forever! And this song is included. Okay, let’s just get started before I write another out of topic sentences including this one.

People do have a tons of different dreams. The difference is, most of them thought they’re capable enough to reach it no matter how hard and high their dreams are, while the rest of them are feeling worthless, incapable and pessimist. The last one is pathetic, isn’t?

But sometimes we must to keep on dreaming, aren’t we? Even if we knew there’s always an obstacle.

I have this wildest dream, which all of my passions are needed there. What is it, then?

A Paid Traveller!

I want to travel around the world, but I will definitely choose to travel around Indonesia first over other places. Y’know, when someone said he/she wants to travel around the world, it means they just want to travel a few places out of their country. Yah, hope you guys get my point.
By become a paid traveller, I can write something, capture some places, meet new people, taste different foods, experience something new and those all had already combined into one coolest thing called Traveling. And I could earn profit–be paid, by doing things I really love. Of course it isn’t as easy as how you guys thought it’d be. A paid traveller have to promote and left something nice at the place they’ve just visited. There’re some places that maybe will always be my dream. But hopefully the luck is always on my side.

Honestly, a place I really have to visit is Stamford Bridge, the Chelsea’s home and seeing my team play in front of my eyes. A place where I could feel the real euphoria of winning, or the sad feeling because of losing. Of course I won’t choose the last one. A place where I could sing the chants out loud with the other supporters.

Having some 0 rupiah journeys (not a 0 rupiah flight because it’s too mainstream), getting paid by traveling, and that’s it! Maybe I’d be the happiest girl on earth.

p.s: pardon my sucks grammar.

EF, One Word For 2015: Explore

#nowplaying Blank Space – Taylor Swift.

It’s 2015 already!

Bandung has a Kamis Inggris, now Blog English Club has an exercise to improve our English too, it’s called English Friday.

For me, one word that’d describe a whole 2015 is,

There’re so many things to be explored for. Explore could be anything, it could be either a new places or a part of examine something in a science way. No, I prefer not to choose the last one. Somehow, the silly yet everlasting cartoon which was once be my favorite series when I was on kindergarten named Dora The Explorer, is a real proof of explore that suits my definition! Ugh, I can’t even believe it, man.

New places could be anything, I could just visit a new mall and called it explore. It doesn’t have to be something incredible, I don’t have to be in a long fascinating journey just to have it called explore. Because explore could be some small things that occur around us.

Why did I choose explore for 2015’s main word?

It’s because this year I’ll face something new, new places, new friends with different attitude, new classes, etc. In order to adaptation, I need to explore more. And yes, I truly hope the ‘explore’ itself would be something… Peachy. Hahaha.

See you next post.

P.s: Pardon my grammar error.
